So, it’s been a bit.
I’m still running. Whether it’s in the gym on the dreadmill or outside, I’m still doing it. And while my eating habits are not amazing, they are so much better than they were. I have managed to avoid soda and have been sticking to water or tea. I still need to eat way more fruits and veggies though. And I still cannot manage to get up early to run before work. I need to get back into that.
Friday after work, I got in a 3 mile run on the treadmill and did my weights workout. Then did a 3 mile hike with the boyfriend.
Saturday, I did 3 miles on the elliptical along with my weights.
Sunday, I planned on being a bum all day and doing nothing. Cause I deserve a rest day, right? Well that may be true but I can never sit still for long. I got my daughter up and took her on a trail run with me. The first mile is all a steep uphill so we jog/hiked it and then ran the next 1/2 mile and then ran the entire 1.5 miles back downhill.
My daughter is now 2 weeks out from her 5K and I am 3 weeks out from the Wings for Life World Run. I did it last year and hopefully I can get a bit further this year. We’ll see!
After that, I have 0 races till Aug, when I have the Arroyo Creek 5K which happens to be in my neighborhood. This will be my 4th year running it.
Then, nothing again until my marathon in November. Then the dreaded 50K.
Ugh, I’m tired just thinking about it.
